Exhibitions of work by members is a focal point of Bridlington Art Society
Bridlington Art Society holds exhibitions throughout the year to enable our members to exhibit their work to the public, increase interest in art and to promote the society.
We aim to hold exhibitions each year, at various venues, in specially selected locations around the area.
Exhibitions are popular with both members and visitors. A wide range of subject and mediums are shown, created by our talented members.
Please note, you need to become a full member of Bridlington Art Society to display art in any of our exhibitions, and stewarding is requested by those displaying art.
Anyone is welcome to visit!
2024 EXHIBITIONS
RSPB Bempton Cliffs, March 29th – April 1st
This year we were excited to be holding our first RSPB exhibition and art sale. The theme of course was wildlife.
A great time was had by all, and we are hoping to hold another exhibition at RSPB Bempton Cliffs in 2025.
Bridlington Priory, August 24th – September 8th
The Bridlington Priory exhibition was part of our society’s 75th anniversary, and the theme was ‘Christian and Cultural Heritage’.
The venue was wonderful and the exhibition opened with a launch event attended by The Lord Mayor, with many pieces being bought throughout the exhibition.
North Marine Promenade
This open air exhibition is located in the covered area on the Promenade, opposite the Expanse Hotel.
It is held on Sundays, 10am – 4pm, from approximately Easter to September.
Up to six paintings per artist are allowed, unless by arrangement. Stewarding is a must, with shifts normally being 1-2 hours. ALL artists need to help set up the display boards at 9.30am. Help is also required to take down the boards at the end of the day. Collection of artworks is by 4pm, or depending on the weather it may be earlier.
Artist’s are required to have their own peg board hooks (which can be obtained from A. Thompson, the shop on Quay Road), and should ensure their artwork is secured with cord (not wire or string).

ART HUB
We also run a pop-up gallery and shop in Bridlington town centre, situated next to the entrance to The Promenades Shopping Centre, directly across from the British Heart Foundation.
We have a waiting list for artist’s wishing to exhibit artwork here, and you must be a member to do so.
It is £10 per month for a wall space, and the spaces may be swapped around to help provide interest as well as being fair to all artists. Anyone with less than 8 paintings will only pay £5 per month, however they will not be put onto the window list.
Stewarding is required if you display at the Art Hub, with at least one shift per month.
