Monday Workshops
We hold a members only Monday Workshop, held at Sewerby Church Hall from 7pm to 9pm (£10.00 per month). Please note this is a separate group and is more of a ‘bring your own work’, to get tips and advise others. It’s a chance to do your art in a space with a bunch of like-minded people who love to be creative.

Monthly Demonstrations
Everyone is welcome to join us at our monthly demonstrations.
These are held at Bridlington North Library, YO16 6YD, on the 1st Friday of each month (except August) from 7pm to 9pm. Refreshments and parking (incl. disabled parking and access) are available.
As guests/ non-members you can come to two taster nights for £5 per night (refundable on full membership). These are sometimes followed by a themed Weekend Workshop (fees apply).
Weekend Workshops
The Monthly Demonstrations are sometimes followed by a themed Weekend Workshop, which is led by the person who did the Friday night demonstration. These are members only and booking is required (fees apply).
Exhibitions
We have regular exhibition spaces where you can display and/or sell your art, as well as special event exhibitions throughout the year. Please see our Exhibitions page for more details on these.

Jan G Gregory will be giving a demonstration on how to have fun with mixed mediums, mostly Acrylics, to produce a vibrant landscape, and you can also join in by bringing your own tools. Just a fun evening! Very easy to understand & follow!
April 5th 2024
Sketch Evening. These evenings are so much fun, bring along a sketch pad & any drawing tools of your choice, we start by having a round robin drawing session where we start to draw a given subject 10 mins then move to the next chair and take over where someone else left off further ten minutes. We move again then see what we have.
May 3rd 2024
A G M your chance to have a say! Nominate committee members or even put yourself forward, find out what is in store for your society, also a chance to pay memberships for another year.
We have invited Phil White as our adjudicator for the evening , we ask everyone to bring along a painting they have done in the past year with the hope to choose our picture for next years membership card. Last years winner was David Tatterstall with a lovely picture of Staiths Harbour.
June 7th 2024
Ian Leighton will be coming along to give us an introduction into oil painting.
June 8th 2024
Ian will be also doing a full day workshop in Sewerby, outside plein air then back to the church rooms to finish off.
Limited places so book early.
July 5th 2024
Belinda Hazelrigg will be doing the demonstration, Belinda will be doing a large landscape abstract using Inktense, acrylics.
2nd August 2024
Sketch night & photographic reference work evening.
Which may be plein air depending on the weather, a trip to a local pub for a get together a good old natter & presentation of prize money for the top three paintings of sketches done on the evening.
September 6th 2024
Phil White will be giving us a demonstration, with Phil its always a delight to see what he will be producing for us, a portrait, a landscape or simply a sketch.
October 4th 2024
Mary Wells a very talented pastel Artist Mary will be showing us how versatile pastel’s can be.
November 2024
A sketch or paint along to a video this will be announced nearer the time.
December 2024
This will be a workshop / social event, with a quiz to get our art theme buzzing.
January 3rd 2025
Lino Printing workshop.
February 7th 2025
Richard Burton will be talking us through how he keeps Watercolour’s so clean and fresh.
March 7th 2025
JULIA BORODINA do not miss this!
Followed by a Workshop with Julia Borodina on Saturday 8th at Sewerby Church rooms, 10am to 3pm. This will be exceptional, as Julia has an incredible way of getting the best out of her students.
These workshops are well worth every penny, so enjoyable, and PLACES ARE LIMITED so it is advised to book your place as soon as possible.
