Based in a pleasant seaside town in East Yorkshire, we are an active and friendly group.
Bridlington Art Society was formed in 1949 by an enthusiastic group of local artists who wanted to develop their knowledge, enjoyment, and promote their art. Our members, who live in Bridlington and the surrounding area, continue to share that same interest.
It does not matter if you are a beginner, improver, a professional artist, or maybe simply have an interest in Art. Everyone is welcome to join our monthly meetings!
We meet at North Bridlington library on the B1255 road to Flamborough.
OUR ACTIVITIES
Monthly demonstrations
Bridlington Art Societies activities include monthly evening demonstrations and practical workshops on a wide range of mediums and topics. For further information see our Programme of Events page.
Monday workshops
A regular Monday evening workshop, where you can bring your own work and enjoy painting in the company of others. It is an excellent chance to make new friends and exchange ideas, as well as sharing tips. There are no formal demonstrations on these days.
Exhibitions
There are opportunities to exhibit your work at several gallery exhibitions which are held throughout the year, including open air exhibitions held every Sunday throughout the summer on North Marine Promenade.
Bridlington Art Society also has a gallery and shop called the Art Hub that is located at the South entrance to The Promenades Shopping Centre.
