Welcome

Based in a pleasant seaside town in East Yorkshire, we are an active and friendly group.

Bridlington Art Society was formed in 1949 by an enthusiastic group of local artists who wanted to develop their knowledge, enjoyment, and promote their art. Our members, who live in Bridlington and the surrounding area, continue to share that same interest.

It does not matter if you are a beginner, improver, a professional artist, or maybe simply have an interest in Art. Everyone is welcome to join our monthly meetings!

We meet at North Bridlington library on the B1255 road to Flamborough.

Our Activities

Monthly Demonstrations

Bridlington Art Societies activities include monthly evening demonstrations and practical workshops on a wide range of mediums and topics. For further information see our Programme of Events page.

Weekend Workshops

The Monthly Demonstrations are sometimes followed by a themed Weekend Workshop, which is led by the person who did the Friday night demonstration. These are for members only and booking is required (fees apply). For further information see our Programme of Events page.

Monday Workshops

We run a members only Monday Workshop (every week), held at Sewerby Church Hall from 7pm to 9pm (£10.00 per month). Please note this is a separate group and is more of a ‘bring your own work’, to get tips and advise others. It’s a chance to do your art in a space with a bunch of like-minded people who love to be creative.

For details please contact Barry Hatfield.

Exhibitions

There are opportunities to exhibit your work at several gallery exhibitions which are held throughout the year, including open air exhibitions held every Sunday throughout the summer on North Marine Promenade.

For further information see our Exhibitions page

Art Hub/Shop

We run a pop-up gallery and shop in Bridlington town centre, situated at the South entrance to The Promenades Shopping Centre, directly across from the British Heart Foundation.

Please see the Art Hub page for further information.
