Exhibitions

Exhibitions of work by members is a focal point of Bridlington Art Society.

We hold exhibitions throughout the year to enable our members to exhibit their work to the public, increase interest in art and to promote the society.

We aim to hold exhibitions each year, at various venues, in specially selected locations around the area.

Exhibitions are popular with both members and visitors. A wide range of subject and mediums are shown, created by our talented members.

Please note, you need to become a full member of Bridlington Art Society to display art in any of our exhibitions, and stewarding is requested by those displaying art. This applies to exhibiting in the Art Hub too.

Anyone is welcome to visit!

North Marine Drive

This open air exhibition is located in the covered area on the Promenade, opposite the Expanse Hotel.

It is held every year on Sundays, 10am – 4pm, from approximately Easter to September.

Up to six paintings per artist are allowed, unless by arrangement. Stewarding is a must, with shifts normally being 1-2 hours. ALL artists need to help set up the display boards at 9.30am. Help is also required to take down the boards at the end of the day. Collection of artworks is by 4pm, or, weather depending, it may be earlier.

Artist’s are required to have their own peg board hooks, and should ensure their artwork is secured with cord (not wire or string).

For more information please contact us.

Please note, no money is left on the site.

2025

After the success of our RSPB Bempton Cliffs exhibition in 2024, we are thrilled to announce another! Visit the glorious coastline and take in some art.

Bridlington Priory, Aug 16th – Aug 25th

The first Bridlington Priory exhibition was a fantastic collaboration. We are joining The Priory again with a ‘Natural Beauty of Bridlington’ theme.

The Old Lifeboat Station, June 27th – June 28th

We are holding an exhibition and sale on a Friday and Saturday in June at The Old Lifeboat Station on South Marine Drive. It’s a beautiful location, with beautiful food, and a welcoming vibe. Do come along and enjoy all there is to offer.

2024

RSPB Bempton Cliffs, March 29th – April 1st

In 2024 we were excited to be holding our first RSPB Bempton Cliffs exhibition and art sale. The theme of course was wildlife.

Many visitors enjoyed our society’s art, and a number of sales were made.

Bridlington Priory, Aug 24th – Sept 8th

The Bridlington Priory exhibition was part of our society’s 75th anniversary, and the theme was ‘Christian and Cultural Heritage’.

The venue was wonderful and the exhibition launched with the attendance of The Lord Mayor. Many pieces were bought during the exhibition.

Private Exhibitions

Private exhibitions of work by our members are also held in several local galleries in the area.
