Jan G Gregory will be giving a demonstration on how to have fun with mixed mediums, mostly Acrylics, to produce a vibrant landscape, and you can also join in by bringing your own tools. Just a fun evening! Very easy to understand and follow!

Sketch night. These evenings are so much fun, bring along a sketch pad & any drawing tools of your choice, we start by having a round robin drawing session where we start to draw a given subject 10 mins then move to the next chair and take over where someone else left off further ten minutes. We move again then see what we have.

A G M, your chance to have a say! Nominate committee members, or put yourself forward. Find out what’s in store for your society, and pay membership for another year.Phil White is invited as our adjudicator, as we ask everyone to bring along a painting they have done in the past year to choose our picture for next year’s membership card. Last year’s winner was David Tatterstall.

Ian Leighton will be coming along to give us an introduction to oil painting.
June 8th 2024 – WEEKEND WORKSHOP
Ian Leighton will be also doing a full day workshop in Sewerby, plein air (outside), then back to the church rooms to finish off.

Belinda Hazelrigg will be doing the demonstration, Belinda will be doing a large landscape abstract using Inktense, acrylics.
August 2nd 2024
Sketch night & photographic reference work evening; this may be plein air (depending on the weather), or a trip to a local pub for a get together, good old natter, and presentation of prize money for the top three paintings or sketches done that evening.
September 6th 2024
Phil White will be giving us a demonstration, with Phil its always a delight to see what he will be producing for us, a portrait, a landscape or simply a sketch.

Mary Wells a very talented pastel artist. Mary will be showing us how versatile pastels can be.
November 1st 2024
A sketch, or paint, along to an instructional art video, which will be announced nearer the time.
December 6th 2024
This will be a social event, with a quiz, to get our art theme buzzing.
