JULIA BORODINA will be instructing us on using acrylics with sponges, brushes, cloths, and her particular approach. Do not miss this!
March 8th 2025 – WEEKEND WORKSHOP
Following our Friday night, we have a Saturday workshop with Julia Borodina at Sewerby Church rooms, from 10am to 3pm. This will be exceptional, as Julia has an incredible way of getting the best out of her students.
These workshops are worth every penny, so enjoyable, and PLACES ARE LIMITED so it is advised to book your place as soon as possible.


April 4th 2025
Carol Davidson will be coming along to give us an inspiring demonstration using watercolours.

May 2nd 2025
AGM – Nominate committee members or put yourself forward, find out what is in store for your society, and pay your membership. Phil White will adjudicate our members’ artwork, and the winner will be on the society membership card!

June 6th 2025
Work along with Fawzi Ibrahim, doing ‘A portrait in oils’.
June 7th 2025 – WEEKEND WORKSHOP
Fawzi Ibrahim will be doing a workshop on the Saturday following our ‘A portrait in oils’ video night. Fawzi has appeared on portrait artist of the year, and uses oil colours and watercolours as well as graphite and charcoal for the production of his portraits. Please book in advance; workshop is £25/person.


July 4th 2025
A sketch night, where you are invited to bring any piece(s) you are working on, or to bring your fresh pad, paper or canvas and choose from our still life arrangements.

August 1st 2025
A plein air (outdoor) session is planned for this day (weather permitting), which will be held around Bridlington harbour, and followed by a social in a nearby pub/eatery.

September 5th 2025
Matty Burnham is joining us to share his watercolour techniques and insights.
September 6th 2025 – WEEKEND WORKSHOP
Matty Burnham is an ink and watercolour illustrator originally from Cumbria now living in Yorkshire. He is inspired by beautiful local landscapes, and is here to guide us through creating our own. Please book in advance; this workshop is £25/person.



November 7th 2025
Phil Burnett (one of our own society members) will be demonstrating oils in the style of Bob Ross.

December 5th 2025
Carmen Mills joins us for an evening of abstract painting.

Sue Slack is an artist living in the North York Moors, who uses a variety of media. During this workshop she will be showing us her work with acrylics.
